⚠️Cold Caller Alert - Elwick Village & West Park ⚠️

Hartlepool NPT have recently been made aware that a male is believed to be cold calling in the Elwick Village and West Park areas of town and may be specifically targetting elderly residents offering to carry out work on properties.

Whilst this could be a legitimate offer of work, police are asking residents to be vigilant if approached by a stranger offering to conduct work on your properties and asking people to look out for elderly neighbours.

If you have any doubts, explain that you would like to discuss any offers of work with family members or friends before agreeing to anything and give time for you to think about any offers made. Legitimate tradespersons will usually offer to leave contact details or literature that will allow you to verify any company details after they have left.
